Isaiah 43:1-3 – Do not be afraid, for I have ransomed you. I have called you by name; you are mine. When you go through deep waters and great trouble, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown! When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you. For I am the LORD, your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Saviour.”

This Post is for us to share openly with each other, to ask for prayer, express our needs or our doubts or how we have been blessed and also to share  what Jesus has been Teaching us by the empowering of The Holy Spirit,  remembering we are  His Body and we are to be of one mind and not be  in division but in Loving Unity, so if needed let’s resolve our differences together as we seek Him for guidance.

1 Corinthians 1: 10 Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.

Below is  some of the Scriptures that have great meaning for me , if you would like me to add one for you that has also touched your heart please include the reference for it in your comment and if wanted share why it has special meaning for you. I have also included a Power Point below with  wonderful Scripture that describes  how Awesome, Jesus our King is.

John 13:34   A new Commandment I give unto you, That ye Love one another; as I have Loved you, that ye also Love one another. By this shall all men know that ye are my Disciples, if ye have Love one to another.

Galatians 6:2 Bear ye one another’s burdens and so fulfil the law of Christ.

Romans 12:14-15 Rejoice with them that do rejoice, and weep with them that weep. Be of the same mind one toward another.

Hebrews 19:24 And let us consider one another in order to stir up Love and good works.

Luke 17: 3-4 Take heed to yourselves: If thy brother trespass against thee, rebuke him; and if he repent, forgive him. And if he trespass against thee seven times in a day, and seven times in a day turn again to thee, saying, I repent; thou shalt forgive him.

2 Corinthians 1:3-5 Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort; Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.

Philippians 2:4-6 Look not every man/woman on his own things, but every man also on the things of others. Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:

Galatians 24 -26 And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts, if we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another.

Philippians 2:1-3 If there be therefore any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of Love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any bowels and mercies, Fulfil ye my joy, that ye be likeminded, having the same Love, being of one accord, of one mind. Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than themselves.

1 Peter 3:7-9 Finally, be ye all of one mind, having compassion one of another, Love as brethren, be pitiful, be courteous:

  2. Dear Anne,

    You told me that you won’t post on my blog because there is a delay when comments get posted and yet when I posted on your blog earlier I received the same message that you moderate comments. ??

    I am reposting my response because you invited me here and it seems relevant to the discussion.

    With regards to your comments about Moses
    From your comment it appears that you are dismissing Moses’ words Anne. Jesus did not add nor subtract to earlier teachings nor did he dismiss Moses’ teachings, he expounded on them.

    Jesus may have been talking about himself when he said, ‘neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead.’
    It is also possible that Jesus was talking about the girl he raised from the dead (Luke 8:51-56) and the man on the bier (Luke 7:13-15) and his friend Lazarus (John 11:42-44). It is very possible if not likely that Jesus was indicating that some people are so blind that they won’t even believe the teachings of the Son of God, a holy person without sin, who raises the dead.

    Before he made his statement, ‘neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead.’ He said, ‘They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them … If they hear not Moses and the prophets …

    Jesus did not dismiss Moses when he said that. Quite the contrary Jesus spoke about the need for people to listen to the teachings of Moses and the prophets because Jesus’ teachings were referring to the very same teachings and Jesus explained what was meant by Moses’ teachings.

    Jesus says, I do as my Father tells me to (John 14:31, John 5:19,30). Jesus didn’t make anything up himself he continuously referred to the prophets.
    ‘For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father which sent me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak. (John 12:49) ‘He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked … I write no new commandment unto you, but an old commandment which ye had from the beginning. The old commandment is the word which ye have heard from the beginning. (1 John 2:6-7)
    And I know that his commandment is life everlasting: whatsoever I speak therefore, even as the Father said unto me, so I speak.’ (John 12:50)

    Moses said, ‘Command your children to observe to do,
all the words of this law.
For it is not a vain thing for you;
because it is your life …’

    Jesus reiterated what Moses said when he said, ‘his commandment is life everlasting.’

    God bless Anne

    • Thank you for visiting Mimi, seeking to resolve problems always is better than ignoring them or running away has some do or worse they agree to disagree which also ends in unloving division.

      When we comment Mimi on anyone’s Blog for the first time it moderates the comment if we have not had one approved before, which you haven’t on this Blog so this means I have to approve it, you wrote 3 comments without the first one being approved, next time your comments won’t be moderated.

      I believe moderating is unnecessary if we have WordPress Security, they do a great job of protecting us against Spam and we can delete abusive comments and respond with Scripture to those who disagree with us . Why I was upset with you Mimmi, is because you were not moderating before.

      Not saying this is your reason Mimi but some use moderating to delete comments they don’t agree with and they do this without a valid reason or confirmation of Scripture, others just ignore you which is just as rude. I expect this type of rudeness from Atheists, they often do this when they can’t find a response but it came as a shock to find Christians deleting and ignoring comments too, sometimes it is not intentional so I give a reasonable amount of time or overlook it or if they are new to Blogging, sometimes they reply in the wrong place too but if it’s rudeness I move on.

      Christian Blogging is like friendship we consider others first not ourselves, we are the Body of Christ, which means we share God’s Truth, take an interest in what interests others, encourage and uplift, them and spur them onto good works and yes correct and rebuke if needed, just as God tells us to do in the Scriptures.

      I appreciate very much Mimmi your visiting Freedomborn’s Garden Sanctuary, a refuge where we can Mature together.

      I will respond later to your 3 comments or tomorrow.

      Christian Love Always – Anne.

    • Sorry Mimi for responding to your comment in the wrong place the first time and also for the delay in correcting this error but as I shared with Nancy I have been fully occupied the last week both with going out with Ron and completing a large order of Scripture Cards for Yvonne who is a Scripture Teacher, she uses them for Birthdays and rewards as I did too in my Funday Schools and when Teaching R.E.

      Yes as I shared with you before Mimi, I accept all of God’s inspired words in the Scriptures including what Moses said because God tells us in …..

      2 Timothy 3:16 -17 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.

      But I seek Jesus for understanding through the empowering of The Holy Spirit, having asked for Him and God’s wisdom too. The Old Hebrew can be confusing even for professionals but what we do not need to worry when we are anointed as Jesus will show us error too.

      1John 2:26-28 These things have I written unto you concerning them that seduce you. But the anointing which ye have received of Him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you but as the same anointing Teacheth you of all things, and is Truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath Taught you, ye shall abide in Him.

      The Scriptures are God’s thoughts, convictions , guidelines and plans for us His redeemed Children and cannot be understood in the flesh, without The Holy Spirit as Jesus leads us into all understanding, they will be misinterpreted and not understood as He tells us.1Corinthians 2:9-16

      1John 5:20 And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know Him that is True, and we are in Him that is True, even in His Son Jesus Christ. This is the True God, and eternal life.

      Colossians 2 :2 -3 That their hearts might be comforted, being knit together in Love, and unto all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the acknowledgement of the mystery of God, and of the Father, and of Christ; In whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.

      Christian Love – Anne.

  3. Dear Anne,
    About wisdom according to scripture.
    In response to your quote Proverbs 4:7 7 ‘Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding’
    When we follow up on this we find the following in Job 28:20-28 ‘Whence then cometh wisdom? and where is the place of understanding? … Behold, the fear of the LORD, that is wisdom; and to depart from evil is understanding.’

    The fear of the LORD is wisdom and to depart from evil is understanding. What does it mean to depart from evil and have understanding? Let’s see what scripture has to say about it.

    Psalm 111:10 ‘The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do his commandments …’

    This is what scripture tells us about wisdom: The fear of the LORD is wisdom, to depart from evil is understanding, a good understanding have all they that do his commandments.
    According to scripture wisdom is fearing GOD and not doing evil; which the wise understand to be following GOD’s commandments.

    In addition for anyone who thinks that their particular brand of ‘wisdom’ is some kind of gift which they need to impart upon others, the bible has advice for them too which is found in Job from chapter 38 onwards. This is where The LORD rebukes those who think to tell others about their ‘wisdom.’

    The book of Job starts off where the LORD calls Job ‘a perfect and upright man, one that feared the LORD and eschewed evil.’ We now know that this means that Job followed God’s commandments. And yet GOD allowed Satan to test Job to the max, the only thing Satan was not allowed to do was to take Job’s life. He however took his kids, his wealth, his health. GOD allowed suffering to come upon Job (like He did with His Son) even though Job did all the right things.

    In a nutshell, in the last few chapters the LORD told Job’s friends that they’re clueless but Job was rewarded for ‘speaking to the LORD of the thing that is right,’ praying for his friends and suffering without retaliating. This shows us that Job indeed was ‘a perfect and upright man who feared the LORD and eschewed evil.’

    Anne, you say that the most important thing for us to do is love GOD .. What is the love of GOD?
    1 John 5:3, 2:4, ‘For this is the love of GOD, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.’ He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.

    I am not interpreting Anne, not adding nor subtracting. I am pointing out where the bible speaks about love and wisdom and understanding.

    I know that our views differ Anne and you have yours made known on the subject and I respect yours. I expect that you do the same with my mine, which are based on the prophets and Jesus’ teachings.

    God bless Anne
    Mimi

    • God tells us Mimi, as we can see below that if we lack wisdom we are to ask for it and none of us were born with it, He will give it to us without finding fault, which means we don’t have to be Perfected to receive, it in True that without it we can’t be Perfected and so we won’t Mature but will remain babes , floundering around being childish and not knowing God’s Truth.

      Proverbs 4:7 Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.

      James 1:5-6 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord. A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.

      Job like and all the Saints until Pentecost were considered righteous in their actions but they were not made righteous, they had the Hope and were covered by the Blood of Christ but not the reality like we do , they sacrificed animals to atone for their sins, we Trust in Jesus as the final sacrifice.

      When we are Born again (see below) of The Holy Spirit we are washed purified, spotless and made Holy, we have God’s seed or Nature so we can’t sin, we don’t choose to sin because we have the mind of Christ and we have put our flesh to death by The Spirit that causes us to sin, Jesus has set us free so we are no longer slaves to sin.

      1John 3 :9 No one who is Born of God will continue to sin, because God’s seed remains in him; he cannot go on sinning, because he has been Born of God.

      1 John 3: 1-11 ( 6-7 ) Whosoever abideth in Him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen Him, neither known Him. Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as He is righteous.

      1John 5 18-20 We know that no one who is Born of God sins; but He who was Born of God keeps him, and the evil one does not touch him.

      John 8:34-36 Jesus replied, “I tell you the truth, everyone who sins is a slave to sin. Now a slave has no permanent place in the family, but a son belongs to it forever. So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed

      Romans 6:11 Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.

      1 John 4:17-19 Herein is our Love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as He is, so are we in this world. There is no fear in Love; but perfect Love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in Love. We Love Him, because He first Loved us.

      Paul explains about the battle he had with his flesh in Romans 7 but also tells us how to overcome it in Romans 8 &6 and other Scriptures.

      Romans 8 :12-15 Therefore, brothers, we have an obligation—but it is not to the sinful nature, to live according to it. or if you live according to the sinful nature, you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the misdeeds of the body, you will live, because those who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God.

      Romans 6:5-7 For if we have been planted together in the likeness of His death, we shall be also in the likeness of His resurrection: Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with Him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin. For he that is dead is freed from sin.

  4. Hi Anne! You are so funny! You had me giggling with your pillow remark, my friend!! ;)) Look how you know me so well already! Yes- sometimes I do find myself sitting on a bench… gosh I am always longing for a cushion! ;)) But I do think sometimes my comfort-zone rear needs to sit up and attentively listen or speak as the case may be. Perhaps you shouldn’t have invited me to your lovely Eden-like setting to continue our discussion about Suffering! Ha! ;)). I honestly will not take offense if you transplant me elsewhere…just please don’t use that nasty weed killer on me! I’m not a weed-Really! ;))))

    I read your link, Anne… What a lovely compilation of Verses on Wisdom! Like roses growing up a trelis in your garden! 🙂 We can gain knowledge and intelligence from many places, but WISDOM, ah!!…She comes from the Hand of God Alone! It reminds me Anne of an atheist I was speaking with last year..very bright young man with an analytical mind who was studying the great philosophers and ideologists and exploring new age/Buddhist notions like nirvana, reincarnation, karma, everyone is god, hypnosis, nothingness, etc. Though he had earthly knowledge and a very high IQ, he had not Wisdom because he had not God. I encouraged him to read the Proverbs, but never heard back.

    I will say goodbye for now, Anne, but please allow me to copy a chunk of my 4th paragraph above that I just noticed was missing!!- I must have inadvertently deleted between sentences 2&3, sorry! Hopefully this improves continuity of thought up there.

    *(insert P4 after S2) I believe that God’s Perfect and Pleasing Will was for us to use our Free Will Gift to OBEY Him in the Garden and not eat from the Forbidden Tree. God knew what disobeying Him would mean- that it would usher into the world sin, death and all pain and suffering we experience. God’s Pleasing Will was Paradise on earth- He had provided everything for us there- complete joy and fulfillment as we submitted in obedience to Him! Aaah! :)) But of course we know this did not happen…our disobedience was not what God desired, but He was fully aware it was coming and in His Magnificent Way, He had ALREADY PLANNED the Lifesaving Remedy for us-RESTORATION
    ~~~~~~~~~
    In Christ’s Love,
    Nancy (maybe I’ll be your “forget-me-not!) .:))) .love you Anne!
    • Hummmm perhaps a daffodil ….. well you did forget to thank me for the pillows in our Sanctuary and after complaining about the hard bench it is a bit Daffy.
      Blessings – Anne
    • Sorry it has taken me so long to respond again Nancy to your comment but I have had some some important responsibilities to attend to which I’m still working on but hope to finish soon, I have not been Blogging as much as I usually do but I have also been waiting for you to thank me for the pillows and softer seat Lol. are you sure you are a forget me not, well at least you do have a sense of humour, sadly some don’t, laughter is a gift from God.
      I have already responded on your Blog Nancy in regards to God allowing Jesus to suffer, as I shared it was us not God that caused this to be needed, He Loved us so much that He gave Jesus His beloved Son the choice to Redeem us, which meant both would suffer because They would be separated because of our sin and not just Jesus physically but He chose to do so knowing there was no other way, man had ignored God and Him when He came to earth and the Prophets before and sadly they still do today, which means they reap what they sow.
      We also suffer when we stand up for God’s Truth, correct error, warn and rebuke, although Carnal man will reason it is our fault that we do and that we deserve to be, instead of their own fleshy responses to being corrected, it was why they crucified Jesus, they hated to be proved wrong, it was their fleshy pride.
      Today like Jesus we are also ignored or blamed, just as He told us and we would be as well as hated and rejected too and some of us will be crucified before He returns, as Christians are already being now in some Countries.
      We also suffer because of Satan’s Testing or the fire as it is called (see below) just as Jesus, Job , Paul, Peter etc did, Satan will seek to cause us to fall but God keeps us from being burned as we can see below in the Scriptures and no Temptation will be greater than we can bear, Jesus is our Armour and when we Trust in Him, the Devil cannot have the victory.
      Isaiah 43:1-3 – Do not be afraid, for I have ransomed you. I have called you by name; you are mine. When you go through deep waters and great trouble, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown! When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you. For I am the LORD, your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Saviour.”
      1 Peter 1:6-7 Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold Temptations: That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:
      James 1:12-14 Blessed is the man that endureth Temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that Love Him. LET NO MAN SAY WHEN HE IS TEMPTED , I AM TEMPTED OF GOD FOR GOD CANNOT BE TEMPTED WITH EVIL, NEITHER TEMPTETH HE ANY MAN… But every man is Tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.
      Lamentations 3: 33 For God doth not afflict willingly nor grieve the children of men.
      *** I have found in my own life since I came to heart repentance, when put to the test, Jesus has been faithful, when I asked for His strength He kept me strong, so Satan didn’t get a foothold and I trust Him now to keep me salty meaning to be faithful to stand against evil and error regardless of the cost to me personally.
      Jude 1:24-25 Now unto Him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of His glory with exceeding Joy, To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen.
      Christian Love Always in Christ Jesus -Anne.
  5. Hello again Anne! Thank you again for your invitation to “meet you in the garden” to discuss our topic of suffering further,… and what a lovely garden it is! 🙂 Before I begin I would like to tell you how beautiful your PowerPoint “Living Water” is…. each image so glorious, perfectly representing God’s amazing work in nature and beautiful Scriptures to accompany those photos! What a joy to page through them!
    Anne- I appreciate the chance to continue our discussion on the topic of suffering… Thank you! I would not be taking the time if I didn’t feel it was critical for believers to understand the subject and if I didn’t care for you, in particular. I appreciate the beautiful Scripture verses you’ve selected to support your belief that God does not ever afflict or cause suffering in His children- that suffering comes solely from evil in the world and our choice to walk in the flesh/to sin. Please correct me if I’ve misunderstood you, but that is what I’ve understood from what you’ve written both on your and my blogs. Anne- that belief must be held up to Scripture in its ENTIRETY, not just select verses- just as my belief that God DOES at times effect or allow suffering in the Believers life must be held up to the WHOLE of Scripture in the same way. Though all the beautiful Verses you’ve shared are every bit TRUE, there are many other Verses in God’s Word about the Place and Value of suffering in the Believer’s life that are True as well.
    It is clear to me that you are a woman who desires to walk perfectly in God’s Will and follow Him as He speaks His Truth to you by Written Word and the Guiding of His Holy Spirit. That is why I take what you write very seriously, Anne. We are all on a journey with The Lord, learning and growing in the wonderful Wisdom and Knowledge of God- none of us perfect just yet! I learn something from every post I read of yours, and I hope you gain something from mine as well. :)) In the Body of Christ, we are called to love each other, encourage each other, pray for each other, and also to sharpen and admonish each other in the Word and Love of The Lord. I pray I speak to you in His Love and Grace, as He has been loving and gracious to me. I pray you receive my words in His Love, knowing that I care for you as my beautiful Sister in Him.
    I have come to Anne’s Garden :)), now as with every relevant topic, we must return to the Garden of Eden. God gave us the Gift of Free Will, Anne- that Gift came from God’s Mind and Hand because He desired our VOLUNTARY love (not programmed which He could have done). YES, that His Son SUFFER AND DIE for us in order to redeem our lives from the grave (See John 12:27)! Let me be clear, Anne- THIS IS NOT SYNONYMOUS with The Father masochistically taking pleasure in seeing His Son being tortured. IT IS NOT the same thing! But God WAS pleased in His Son (Luke 3:22), loved Him (Mark 9:7, John 3:35, 5:20), and HE PURPOSED THIS EVENT IN HIS SOVEREIGN WILL TO HAPPEN. Heartbroken, the Father no doubt suffered Himself knowing the suffering His Son was about to endure- like a father suffers knowing the suffering his child will endure (“Whoever spares the rod hates their children, but the one who loves their children is careful to discipline them.” – Prov 13:24). So, to say it was OUR SIN and not the Father Who killed Jesus, truly misses the bigger picture clearly depicted in Scripture- and we must grasp this! Hear Jesus knowingly speaking about His inevitable death in the Gospel of John:
    “Now my soul is troubled, and what shall I say? ‘Father, save me from this hour’? No, it was FOR THIS VERY REASON I came to this hour. Father, glorify your name!”
    Then a voice came from heaven, “I have glorified it, and will glorify it again.” – John 12:27-28
    Not only does Christ make clear that to SUFFER and DIE for us was the VERY REASON He came to earth, but He tells His Father to GLORIFY HIMSELF through it! And indeed, Father God glorifies Himself through the horrific event that saved our very souls. Scripture makes unquestionably clear, Anne, that IT WAS GOD’S WILL that Christ suffer and die for us. Read carefully Isaiah 53:10a:
    “Yet it was THE LORD’S WILL TO CRUSH HIM AND CAUSE HIM TO SUFFER”
    Now though these Words are absolutely True, Anne- if I ONLY present this part of the Verses from Isaiah 53:10-11, it would APPEAR to the unknowing reader that God’s character was cruel and malicious. You and I know that is NOT true! We must take Scripture in its ENTIRETY, understanding this statement in its proper context- both in Isaiah 53 and within the entirety of the Bible. Watch how God’s Glorious Loving Character emerges in full as the Verses continue–
    “and though the Lord makes his life an offering for sin,
    he will see his offspring and prolong his days,
    and the will of the Lord will prosper in his hand.
    After he has suffered,
    he will see the light of life and be satisfied;
    by his knowledge my righteous servant will justify many,
    and he will bear their iniquities.” – Isa 53:10b-11
    We now can see that not only is there a REASON God crushed His Son through suffering (bearing our iniquities/offering for sin), but that God is bringing amazing blessings THROUGH IT (prosperity, life, justification)! In context, Isaiah 53:10a is now clarified- given Perspective. As always, suffering is NEVER God’s END PLAN for His children- He ALWAYS has a HOLY PURPOSE for bringing or allowing it. And indeed God DOES BOTH, Anne- Suffering has Divine Value in the Believer’s life, as the many following Verses prove.:
    1). Jesus Rebuking Peter for Hosting Satan in Not Accepting God’s Will that He Suffer and Die/Jesus Commanding Believers Follow His Example:Deny Themselves and Take Up Cross to the Point of Death—
    “He [Jesus] then began to teach them that the Son of Man MUST SUFFER MANY THINGS AND BE REJECTED by the elders, the chief priests and the teachers of the law, and that he must be killed and after three days rise again. He spoke plainly about this, and Peter took him aside and began to rebuke him. But when Jesus turned and looked at his disciples, he rebuked Peter. “Get behind me, Satan!” he said. “You do not have in mind the concerns of God, but merely human concerns.” Then he called the crowd to him along with his disciples and said: “Whoever wants to be my disciple must DENY THEMSELVES AND TAKE UP THEIR CROSS AND FOLLOW ME. For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me and for the gospel will save it.” – Mark 8:31-35
    2). The Apostles are Flogged for God’s Name and REJOICE in the Privilege of Suffering, Proclaiming Christ as Messiah—
    “His speech persuaded them [Gamaliel speaking to men of Israel]. They called the apostles in and HAD THEM FLOGGED. Then they ordered them not to speak in the name of Jesus, and let them go. The apostles left the Sanhedrin, REJOICING BECAUSE THEY HAD BEEN COUNTED WORTHY OF SUFFERING DISGRACE FOR THE NAME. Day after day, in the temple courts and from house to house, they never stopped teaching and proclaiming the good news that Jesus is the Messiah.” – Acts 5:40-42
    3). God’s Power is Made PERFECT Through Our Suffering>The Believer’s Right Attitude—
    The famous thorn God assigned to Paul’s flesh [Paul speaking]:
    “To keep me from becoming conceited because of these surpassingly great revelations, I WAS GIVEN a thorn in my flesh, a messenger of Satan, to TORMENT me. Three times I PLEADED with the Lord to TAKE IT AWAY from me. But he said to me,“MY GRACE IS SUFFICIENT FOR YOU, FOR MY POWER IS MADE PERFECT IN WEAKNESS.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.That is why, FOR CHRIST’S SAKE, I DELIGHT IN WEAKNESSES, IN INSULTS, IN HARDSHIPS, IN PERSECUTIONS, IN DIFFICULTIES. FOR WHEN I AM WEAK, THEN I AM STRONG.” – 2 Cor 12:7-10
    4). Dispelling the Notion that Suffering Dissuades Believers, Paul Tells Philippian Brothers that the Gospel is Advanced by His Chains for Christ, that More Believers Preach the Gospel Now without Fear, and that We are COMMISSIONED TO SUFFER for Christ—
    [Paul shackled in prison, speaks] “Now I want you to know, brothers and sisters, that what has happened to me has actually served to ADVANCE the GOSPEL. As a result, it has become clear throughout the whole palace guard and to everyone else that I AM IN CHAINS FOR CHRIST. And BECAUSE OF MY CHAINS, most of the brothers and sisters HAVE BECOME CONFIDENT IN THE LORD AND DARE ALL THE MORE TO PROCLAIM THE GOSPEL WITHOUT FEAR.”
    “For it has been GRANTED TO YOU on behalf of Christ not only to believe in him, but also TO SUFFER FOR HIM, since you are going through the same struggle you saw I had, and now hear that I still have.” – Phil 1:12-14, 29-30
    5). Jesus Perfected and Glorified through Suffering and Death which Brought Salvation—
    “But we do see Jesus, who was made lower than the angels for a little while, NOW CROWNED WITH GLORY AND HONOR BECAUSE HE SUFFERED DEATH, so that by the grace of God he might taste death for everyone. In bringing many sons and daughters to glory, it was fitting that God, for whom and through whom everything exists, should make the pioneer of their salvation PERFECT THROUGH WHAT HE SUFFERED. Both the one who makes people holy and those who are made holy are of the same family. So Jesus is not ashamed to call them brothers and sisters.” – Heb 2:9-11
    6). Consider TRIALS JOY and Blessing, as our Faith is Being Tested, Which Brings Perseverance and Maturity- God Will Give Us the Crown of Life!—
    “Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.”
    “Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him.” – Jam 1:2-4, 12
    7). Being BLESSED THROUGH SUFFERING for Good/Have the Same Attitude as Christ Who SUFFERED in His Body/Be Not Surprised at Trials/REJOICE to PARTICIPATE in the SUFFERINGS of CHRIST/If You Suffer, PRAISE GOD/SUFFER PER GOD’S WILL—
    “Who is going to harm you if you are eager to do good? But even if you should suffer for what is right, you are blessed. “Do not fear their threats; do not be frightened.”
    “For it is better, if it is GOD’S WILL, TO SUFFER for doing good than for doing evil. For Christ also suffered once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God. He was put to death in the body but made alive in the Spirit.” – 1 Pet 3:13-14, 17-18
    “Therefore, since Christ suffered in his body, arm yourselves also with the same attitude, because whoever suffers in the body is done with sin.” – 1 Pet 4:1
    “Dear friends, do not be surprised at the fiery ordeal that has come on you to test you, as though something strange were happening to you. But REJOICE INASMUCH AS YOU PARTICIPATE IN the SUFFERINGS of CHRIST, so that you may be overjoyed when his glory is revealed. If you are insulted because of the name of Christ, you are blessed, for the Spirit of glory and of God rests on you. If you suffer, it should not be as a murderer or thief or any other kind of criminal, or even as a meddler. However, IF YOU SUFFER as a Christian, do not be ashamed, but PRAISE GOD that you bear that name. For it is time for judgment to begin with God’s household; and if it begins with us, what will the outcome be for those who do not obey the gospel of God? And,
    “If it is hard for the righteous to be saved,
    what will become of the ungodly and the sinner?”
    “So then, those who SUFFER ACCORDING TO GOD’S WILL should commit themselves to their faithful Creator and continue to do good.” – 1 Pet 4:12-19
    ~~~~~~~~
    Anne, we certainly know that suffering comes into our lives all sorts of ways- as consequences of our own poor choices, by not following God’s Word, by earthly or spiritual disciplining, by walking on our fleshly will not God’s Spirit, by the fact that we live in a fallen, sin-ridden world, by illness and some treatments, by natural disaster, and yes by evil and demonic forces as well. We are so blessed as Christians to know that God is Sovereign and has all things at hand. Thus when suffering comes our way, we can have the attitude of Christ, the Suffering Servant, and follow in His Way (1 Pet 4:1). God may choose to deliver us out of it, but if He doesn’t, He has a purpose for allowing it and will bring incredible things through it…. He has not fallen asleep or turned His back for one second on us! Proverbs 19:21 says, “Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails.” No man’s plans can thwart God’s Sovereign Purpose! As you said, Anne, God is allowing evil, sin, suffering, for a limited time. Every man will be accountable for his actions before God- and if they do not have the blood-stained Robe of Christ’s Righteousness around them, they will perish. We must stand firm in faith to the end, Anne, when we cross the finish line together! We may be torn and tattered, but we will receive the Crown of Life if we have stood firm to the end! Whatever comes our way, let us give thanks and praise to God for He Alone is Worthy! (1 Thes 5:18)

    I pray that whatever you experience in this life, Anne, you stand firm in your God-given faith and know with all certainty how boundlessly God adores you! May your words always testify to His Supreme Goodness and Grace, as circumstances do not dictate Who He is, and His Character of Love NEVER CHANGES. He has mightily gifted you with eloquent words, Anne, and a heart of love for Him and others that you are using so beautifully,… and I count myself blessed to know you!

    In His Mighty Love,
    Nancy ❤

    • Hi Nancy, thank you for accepting my invitation to come and sit together in Freedomborn’s Kingdom Garden Sanctuary, it’s a place where we can find comfort and refuge in God’s Truth but did you bring a pillow ? that bench looks a bit hard Hummmm I may need to make it a bit more comfy.

      I feel I have already responded to a lot you have shared here today Nancy but I will do so again later and also share what was meant by the Scriptures you gave and how they relate to the whole Picture that the Bible reveals, which is how I relate to them not just as bits and pieces but I do choose Scriptures to share that Highlight the whole Picture.

      But first before I respond Nancy would you please read a message that perhaps is one of the most important Truths we can know and experience and than we will continue to share when you want to, but never feel pressured to do so.
