Alissa’s Special Picnic …..

Alissa and children 2

After sending Anne some photos of my trips to Nepal which were taken when I visited all my  Children in The  Sunshine Children’s Home, Anne asked me to share with you  about one of our much cherished times, a special Picnic, which I’m very happy to be able to do.

Allisa and Children

In the middle of the summer months in Nepal it gets sweltering hot in Kathmandu, so as a treat we took the children and the two live in domestic Staff, who have become very fondly a part of this big beautiful family, on an outing to the Botanical Gardens in the south of the Kathmandu Valley.

Allisa and Carers

Although it isn’t the norm in Nepal to value and accept the workers, the children are being taught to love and respect everyone and these two caring dedicated young women who are now also learning English, were delighted to join us.

Carer and child

Thanks to all those who gave for their wonderful donations for the Children, including the clothes and toys, which I have been able to squeeze in with the luggage on my trips to be with them in Nepal, these made it possible for everyone to be dressed smartly for the special occasion and the girls took their dolls and the younger boys their favourite teddies.

Grannie Annies boys

Anne, affectionately known to the children as Grannie Annie, has brought such joy to their little hearts, Anne  helps to support the children as others kindly do too but just like a Grannie, gives then Treats too, this time it was to buy all the girls the loveliest dolls for their Birthdays.

Children

Once through the gates and what seemed a long way from the dust and pollution of Kathmandu, the green paradise was being pleasantly enjoyed by us all. Adults and older children carried along with them a portion of the carefully prepared picnic foods and drinks.

Before one could even make a plan, the ecstatic brood were eagerly off in all different directions, exploring new cobbled pathways, fresh little waterfalls and rock -pools, then up amongst the rose gardens.

Sunshine Picnic June 2014

There was a huge sigh of relief to be felt when they all came together to relax on a large grassed area and put on their party hats to enjoy our picnic lunch.

Boys will be Boys

Then in what seemed like a matter of no time, once again the children were excitedly hanging from trees and swinging from vines, running up and down slopes and in circles around where we sat.

As the happy group moved from place to place there seemed to be a whole new set of surroundings which entertained them until when as late as possible, we made our way back to the bus. As we were rocked up and down on the bumpy narrow roads descending through quaint mountain villages back to home in Kathmandu, completely exhausted, happily contented, smiling little faces fell asleep, whilst others sang about one of the best days of their young lives.

Blessings to you all – Alissa

Thanks 1Thank you for sharing about your wonderful Picnic with us Alissa, and for your appreciation of my support, I Love being the Children’s Grannie Annie and it gives me Joy knowing I’m part of their lives. But how very blessed they are to have you as their Aussie Mum, you are indeed a very special person Alissa and I give heartfelt thanks that we met and for the opportunity to share with you in giving these very needy Children a chance to enjoy their Childhood and for them to know that Jesus Loves them all greatly.

Christian Love – Always from both of us – Anne.

God Multiplied – Updated

Update below +++hands giving

Thank you to those who felt moved by The Holy Spirit to help Alissa continue her Sausage Orphanage ( Sunshine Home)  for the very poor  Children of Nepal, of course much more will be needed  as there are many other Children desperately in need of help to survive and to have the Faith and  Hope we have.

All these Children have grown up in a culture  where Pagan gods have been and are being worshiped and so they do not  have the blessings we have of Physical and Spiritual nourishment from our Loving God but He Loves them and provides through us for their needs.

 money falling

Lets give thanks to our Awesome God for multiplying Alissa’s donations, and her Children, she now has 20 and very soon more will be under her care. Alissa  received a gift recently of a $1,000 dollars and within a very short time after this she received another $1,000 dollars and just a few days ago another $100 and now God  has Multiplied this +++ Alissa received another $100 and still another a few weeks later, this is  enough for a few months  Medical care and food.

5 loaves and 2 fishesGod is multiplying our gifts, the same as Jesus did with the loaf and the fishes using  the lunch of a young boy who wanted to help.

How Loving is our God who provides all our needs and extra so we can help others,  Love always balances the budget ….

Love balances the scales

We  are indeed very rich compared to these Children and Mothers who suffer  and will continue to suffer because of having no faith in our God who Loves and cares for all Mankind and yet even though they ignore Him, He still sends help … Us…. how blessed we are to be His willing vessels, to help our Children regardless of where they live in the world or who their birth father or mother were.

I will continue another day when Allisa comes home  to share more of her  plans to help these Children long-term, if you would like  to help lighten her load and offer care and support to our Children,  the link to her Website is below…

Thanking you in advance for your prayers and support.

Sausage Orphanage

I have something Special to share with you, I have been very  excited  for a few weeks, I was on the way to do my shopping
on my Mobility Scooter 145 Mobility Scooter which helps me manage as I’m unable to walk for very long without having painful feet and shopping is something I really enjoy as I meet lots of friendly, interesting people, most are very caring and help me when I can’t reach things and sometimes our conversations lead to my sharing how very much God Loves them and also His healings and many blessings in my life, it really is a special time that I look forward to each week.
 sausages-3
I was just about to enter Woolworths, when  I could smell Sausages cooking, yum, yum, when your hungry they do indeed smell sooooo good, I had been wondering what to have for lunch as I hadn’t packed anything, so I ordered a Sausage sandwich and as I was waiting I started talking to the very  friendly Lady selling them, well I haven’t been the same since… This amazing woman, Alissa Hill has a heart so big she left me speechless and believe me that’s saying something unique, those who know the length of my comments have probably worked out I also enjoy talking and those I have talked to on the Phone in America, have no doubts about it, I am indeed an Evangelist but as Alissa shared why she was having a Sausage Sizzle all I could do was nod and smile, but I wanted to shout Praise The Lord! I felt so much Joy it was overflowing, I am so very touched by Alissa’s story, I just have to share it with all of you and ask for your help too.

  Alissa Hill
Alissa’s Children had grown up and being a qualified Counsellor, with a very caring heart as you will see, she wanted to Adopt a Child but was unable to because being a single Mum didn’t meet Queensland’s requirements for overseas Adoption, so because Alissa having always wanted to help those in need even as a child, underprivileged Children became her focus and is was what motivated her to decide to care for needy Children in Nepal.
nepali-slum-1
Nepal is one of the poorest Countries in the World with one of the highest rates of infant mortality and child trafficking. Up to 12000, girls a year are stolen and sent to brothels in India and abroad, many woman and children live miserable lives suffering sickness and severe malnutrition, they have no opportunity for a future and  their pagan gods offer no help but you are reading this because our God cares deeply, His heart is breaking as he witnesses the helplessness of His suffering Children…

Some of Alissa’s Children

We can make a difference, we can bring health, Love, Joy, Hope and Peace where there is now none for many of these Children unless they are cared for by someone like Alissa or others who have a caring heart.
 alisa-and-the-children
Alissa and a few of the Children, Hmmmm
Someone wants to play with the Toys.
I will Post again with all the details of how Alissa started her Sausage Orphanage last year in November and her wonderful plans for it to increase and  become self-supporting and most important for the Children to have Schooling, which means they won’t be targeted for Child Trafficking. I will also post more pictures of the Children and those who Care for them. The Orphanage is called Sunshine Children’s Home Nepal,  which I’m sure will bring much Sunshine to many Children.
Alissa has raised the money to start her Orphanage by Donations, her savings, hard work and boarding 3 Students. As there is no Government funding in Nepal,  Alissa comes back to Queensland every couple of months to raise money to keep it going, she does this by having many, many Sausage Sizzles and Garage Sales with donated goods, which are very popular in Queensland, Aussies love a bargain! but wonderfully they also donate and help support Alissa and the Children without receiving something in return, except of course Joy and thankfullness in knowing Children in need are being cared for .
 SAMSUNG
It doesn’t matter where they live, Children love to play
and it’s so good when they can.
Alissa’s Orphanage is a recognised and registered Charity and you can support a Child personally and be in contact with them through letters and  Skype, a Computer was Donated recently to make this possible… how good is that! but I do realise that some of you may be finding it hard to manage financially yet still want to be able to help, so I thought of a way you could with the most important needs these Children have, like food, clothes and medicine etc.
If all of us who Blog for Jesus could give even just $5.00 or more if your able to, we could raise enough to help Alissa meet these urgent costs and also give her more time in Nepal to be with her much Loved Children, she now has over 14 but more are expected daily.  Alisa would like to help many more Children so you can be sure I will be asking God to multiply what ever is given but of course our Loving Heavenly Father thought of this first, His work done in His way never lacks His Supply, He sends help…
And that’s us, The Body of Christ, His Children and He has blessed us so we are able to help others in need and we know it’s a Joy when we do, so we are blessed again in our giving.
If you would also share with others about Alissa and her Sausage Orphanage, it would be very much appreciated and help greatly to make her needs known, I’m sure this type of gossip would be called Godly.
Alissa’s Sunshine Children’s Home in Nepal also has a  website ( see below )  where you can donate using Pal and if wanted can leave a comment or you can talk to Alissa personally by phone, the number is provided.

Many Blessings to you all as you reach out to others in need,
Christian Love from us both Always  – Your Sister Anne.

Beauty for Ashes…..

Barn 1+

A stranger came by the other day with an offer that set me to thinking.

He wanted to buy the old barn that sits out by the highway.
I told him right off he was not thinking right.

Barn 2+

He was a city type, you could tell by his clothes, his car his hands and the way he talked.

He said he was driving by and saw that beautiful barn sitting out in the tall grass and wanted to know if it was for sale. I told him he had a funny idea of beauty.

Sure, it was a handsome building in its day. But then, there’s been a lot of winters pass with their snow and ice and howling wind.

Barn 3+

The summer suns beat down on that old barn till all the paint’s gone, and the wood has turned silver grey. Now the old building leans a good deal, looking kind of tired. Yet, that fellow called it beautiful.

Barn 4+

That set me to thinking. I walked out to the field and just stood there, gazing at that old barn. The stranger said he planned to use the lumber to line the walls of his den in a new country home he’s building down the road.

He said you couldn’t get paint that beautiful Only years of standing in the weather, bearing the storms and scorching sun, only that can produce beautiful barn wood.

Barn 7+

It came to me then. We’re a lot like that, you and I, only it’s on the inside that the beauty grows with us.

Barn 8+

Sure we turn silver gray too… and lean a bit more than we did when we were young and full of sap. But the Good Lord knows and we don’t walk alone.

Barn 5+

And as the years pass although He does not bring them He uses the hard weather of our lives, the dry spells and the stormy seasons for good and Trusting in Him to do so beautify our souls that nothing else can produce.

Barn 11+

And often folks holler because the want life to always be easy and so they don’t Trust God in the hard times!

Barn 9+

They took the old barn down today and hauled it away to beautify a rich man’s house.

BarnRenovation 1+

Someday we too will go to the Heavenly Home where the Lord has prepared a place for us so beautiful and so wonderful that we cannot even imagine its dimensions.

There will be no storms or dry spells because we will have been prepared and made ready to enjoy all the Treasures that have been stored up for us by the works that God prepared for us to do in Jesus’ name even before we were, born, works that we have been  equipped and empowered to do by Him.

This Treasure is not of sticks or straw or even bricks and mortar it cannot become weathered and decayed, it is of Love, Joy, Peace and Hope overflowing in abundance and these will not disappoint us.

So no matter what Storms or dry spells we face in life we are not alone and nothing nor anybody can destroy what the Lord has prepared for us, and as we serve and glorify Him in all we do and say…He will lift us up and give us a place of honour and we will walk with Him and talk with Him and our friendship will never end.

Isaiah 43:1-3 – Do not be afraid, for I have ransomed you. I have called you by name; you are mine. When you go through deep waters and great trouble, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown! When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you. For I am the LORD, your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Saviour.”

So we Trust the Lord everyday in  everything and know  He will use what ever comes to  prepare and equip us although we may not be aware of the role they play they will contribute to the Hope, Joy, and Peace we have and the Treasure that is stored for us in Eternity.

God is in the process of mouldering and shaping us and others, as we seek Him it’s His hand that guides us and it’s His Love that we share.

Through the good and the bad we give thanks because when we Love the Lord He works all things together for good… He tells us when we search for Him with all our heart we will find Him…How good is that!

Robin Robin a dear Blogging friend,  honestly shared her heart focus with us recently and also compared herself in her former years to  a Dirty old shack and we all are of course, that is why God tells us to clean our vessel and He empowers us to do so and then we are no longer clothed in ashes of sin but have the  beauty of Holiness within.

2 Timothy 2 (20-21) But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master’s use, and prepared unto every good work.

He gives beauty for ashes
Strength for fear
Gladness for mourning
Peace for despair

When sorrow seems to surround you
When suffering hangs heavy o’er you head
Know that tomorrow brings wholeness and healing
God knows your need, just believe what He said
CHORUS

When what you’ve done keeps you from moving on
When fear wants to make itself at home in your heart
Know that forgiveness brings wholeness and healing
God knows your need just believe what He said
CHORUS

I once was lost but God has found me
Though I was bound I’ve been set free
I’ve been made righteous in His sight
A display of His splendour all can see

Grandmother’s are Priceless

To Grandmother…

 Letter from a Granddaughter…

A Grandmother is a lady who has no children of her own. She likes other people’s little girls and boys. A Grandfather is a man Grandmother, he goes for walks with the boy’s and they take them fishing and stuff like that.

Grandmothers don’t have to do anything except to be there. They’re so old that they shouldn’t play hard or run. It is enough if they drive us to the market where the pretend horse is and have lots of coins ready.

Or if they take us for walks they slow down past things like pretty leaves, worms and caterpillars, they never say, “Hurry up.”

Love you Daddy

I didn’t know my Dad very well, he spent much of his time at work and then later in Hospital before he died, which was when I was 8 years old but I do have some special memories that I hold onto, especially of the night he died after him  having just become  a Christian,  he said  to me with his last earthly words, to be a Sunbeam for Jesus and to keep shining at the time I thought He meant smiling but now I understand and then he closed his eyes and woke in Heaven.

It was hard for me to understand about my Heavenly Father but Jesus introduced Him to me and I was overwhelmed with Joy and awe that someone so Awesome could Love me, a little lost girl,  a confused Teenager, a battered wife, a grieving mother, a woman in deep despair and addiction but He did and my Abba Father  gave me never-ending deep inner Joy and a Hope that never wavers.

I have also included a link to my early years below, perhaps it will help you  understand why it took me so much longer than most to grasp, how long and how wide is God’s Love, that there is no Height it cannot reach or Depth it can not fathom, that it is Passionate, Steadfast and Secure, Committed, Sacrificial, Kind and Compassionate, Merciful and it never gives up … How Awesome is our Father God, How Great He is! How wonderful our Daddy … He is Love and can do no evil.

The Link below is Donna’s Blog, called Salt Cinnamon and Love… Donna no longer Blogs but when she wrote this message, it touched my heart as she shared about her wonderful Dad which reminded me about the Poem below I  had received by e-mail and also reminded me that my Abba Father Loves us greatly and always did.

     My Dad

You work so hard in all that you do supporting our family as you provide for our life…
And loving our Mum your wife…
You are the backbone of our family…
You guide us through life…
So sturdily and sure even though at times
we have been poor…
You taught us with courage…
Life’s mountain to climb…
So we could tackle life’s challenges…
One step at a time…
Time has a way… Of changing things…
And you taught us to accept…
Whatever life brings…
Sifting through the good and the bad
so that in Hope we would not be sad.

Your life is not always…
An easy one…
But you stand beside us…
and will until your job is done.
We test your patience
At times, I am sure…
But your steadfast resolve in obeying the truth…
Giving us guidelines to help keep us secure…
Our future when obeyed they do ensure.

I truly appreciate…
The things you have done…
In God’s book my heart He has won …

because of your faithfulness to share of His Son…..
It seems as if there is never enough time…
To say the things…
We have on our mind…
But often you show by the things that you do…
That your Love is greater then words can impart…
and just like your words they touch my heart.
If God gave me the choice…
A father to choose…
From Dads the world over…
I would choose you…

Love you Daddy

A Brick In The Wall by T

Thank you T, what a beautiful heart you have shining with humility and Trust in a God that will never let you down. As we walk in the fruit of His Love by His empowering, we will all be filled Spiritually and lack no good thing….. Love you dear Sister and friend in The Lord, we both wish for you all God has for you and that together we will all as the Body of Christ bear much good fruit for Eternity in our walk with Him.

A Story By Me

Keep putting the bricks in the wall.  That seems to be what God keeps putting in my mind these past few weeks.

The past 7 weeks I had the privilege of leading a woman’s Bible study at my church.  Why God would chose me for this job is beyond my comprehension.  I have only been walking this journey with Jesus for about 2 and 1/2 years so I do not know my Bible very well.  I also feel like most of the woman who joined the class were probably way more experienced for the job than me.  I do not like speaking in public and have suffered from social anxiety for the past 20 years to the point I get sick at my stomach just thinking about a room full of people.  Just being an attendee in a class is really hard for me.

In the class we studied…
